Millions of Americans are set to receive a financial boost this summer as the IRS and U.S. Department of the Treasury roll out $1,390 stimulus checks aimed at easing the burden of everyday expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities.

✅ Who Qualifies?

To be eligible for the tax-free payment, individuals must have filed a recent tax return and meet the following income thresholds:

  • Single filers: Up to $75,000

  • Married couples filing jointly: Up to $150,000

  • Heads of household: Up to $112,500

Additionally, recipients of federal benefits—including Social Security, SSDI, SSI, VA benefits, and Railroad Retirement—may also qualify. For most of these individuals, payments will be issued automatically.

📅 When and How Will Payments Arrive?

Disbursements are expected to begin in late summer 2025, continuing over several weeks. Depending on IRS records, eligible recipients may receive their funds via:

  • Direct deposit (fastest method)

  • Paper check

  • Economic Impact Payment (EIP) debit card

To avoid delays, Americans are urged to ensure their bank account and mailing address details are current with the IRS.

⚠️ Watch Out for Scams

The IRS is warning the public to stay vigilant against fraudulent websites and phishing attempts. Payment status should only be checked through official channels like or the “Get My Payment” tool. Never click on suspicious links or share personal information with unverified sources.
